Blue Jay has two types of membership: "formal membership" and "secondary membership." Members join by selecting a type of membership, participating in calls and diligence, and then funding companies. As of May 2015, Blue Jay Syndicate currently has 18 formal members and 12 secondary members.

Formal Members

Formal members contribute to diligence and vote together on each deal for Blue Jay to fund. Each member receives one vote and companies that receive a 'YES' quorum of 70%+ of the members are funded. All formal members agree to fund each company voted YES by the group for a minimum of $5,000 per deal. Members are encouraged to invest more in their favorite companies.

Secondary Members

Secondary Members choose their own deals and are not obligated to invest in all companies, however, they must invest at least $25,000 per company when they choose to participate.
